Rural School Enrollment & Challenges

Due to a long term pattern of declining student enrollment in rural Massachusetts, state education funding of rural schools has been stagnant for over a decade.  Meanwhile, rural school costs have risen persistently despite concerted efforts at the local level to increase efficiencies.  To begin to understand the unique challenges facing rural schools in Massachusetts, please take a moment to watch this video and see WHY we are advocating for equity in rural school funding.
