In one year alone, 80 teachers laid off because of education funding inequality


Kathleen Smith, superintendent of Brockton Public Schools, told audience members at a press briefing about how the start of this school year began with 80 less teachers in the district – meaning 80 less advocates for students and 80 less leaders in education to kick off a new academic year.
