M.A.S.S. – Educators Are Part Of The Solution

|

During the past week I keep thinking that both the perpetrators and the victims of racism were our students. What is it we have done or need to do to make our society more just and accessible for everyone? As leaders of public education we have an important role to play. How do we help society become more just and accountable to each other. What lessons need to be taught and what conversations must we responsibly engage in with our leaders, faculty and students. How do we influence the way society thinks and speaks about race. With all that is before us with the COVID 19 pandemic we are facing an equally destructive virus with racism. They are both public health issues that require our attention. Our nation’s future is waiting on us!!
