At the M.A.S.S. Spring Meeting on May 21, the Executive Committee for the association began their term for the year ahead, installing officers and six new (or returning) members.
The new President of M.A.S.S. is Aaron Polansky, Superintendent-Director of Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School.
Aaron thanked his predecessor, Karen Crebase, for her service as M.A.S.S. President during the 2025-2026 school year. He commended her advocacy on school funding and new graduation requirements, as well as her emphasis on finding joy in the superintendency.
He said, “Karen started her M.A.S.S. Presidency with a focus on gratitude, recognition of our daily work, and a desire to elevate the profession of the superintendency. Karen maintained this focus throughout her presidency. For those who may not know Karen well, she is a hope dealer from Hopedale. She helps other people excel. Karen is an active listener, masterful conversation starter, and thoughtful sounding board for anyone looking to weigh a challenging decision. Karen is empathetic and truly focused on what is best for students, staff, colleagues, and humanity.”
