GDRSD is Looking for an Educational Leader Who:

Communicate effectively. You have a proven track record of coaching educators and teams to success. You communicate clearly to help groups move from ideas to action when necessary. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience in multiple communication modes, including social media, and an ability to articulate the importance of inclusion and diversity to the broader community in Groton and Dunstable.

Manage Change Effectively. You bring and can draw from a strong track record in managing change with an understanding of the history and politics within an organization.

The Groton-Dunstable Regional School District seeks a high-performing candidate for the position of Principal of the Groton-Dunstable Regional High School. We offer a highly competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package for an innovative administrator who will be joining a dynamic preK-12 team of educational leaders.  The high school principal will serve as the instructional leader of our high performing high school, which consistently performs alongside the top 10% of public high schools in the Commonwealth.  The GDRHS Principal leads a staff of 75+ employees and serves as the primary evaluator for teachers and building-level administrators. In addition, a successful candidate will perform the following functions:

●       Employ a variety of strategies to build consensus around a shared vision empowering all students to achieve and cultivate a sense of belonging for all students, staff, and families.

●       Set clear expectations and provide support and professional development to all educators in designing and implementing a rigorous, engaging program of studies that is aligned with state standards and effectively prepares all students for post-graduate success.

●       Regularly communicate with parents and members of the community through multiple mediums.

●       Support the district mission of acceptance, belonging, community and a district multi-tiered system of support in service of equitable outcomes for all staff and students.

●       Develop, implement and monitor the high school operating budget and student activities budget.

●       Understand and comply with all laws, mandates, and policies.

●       Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent

Organizational Leadership: The High School Principal is an integral member of the district-wide School Leadership Team (SLT) serving to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement focused on student learning preK-12, developing a shared vision, implementing district and school improvement goals, and ensuring professional growth for all educators through building effective professional learning communities & collaborative teams.

Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Learning: The High School Principal, alongside other building leaders, builds instructional leadership capacity across the district with faculty and staff, promoting and supporting effective research-based practices for curriculum design, instruction, and professional development.

Qualifications:

●       Advanced graduate degree in education

●       Massachusetts licensure as a high school level administrator

●       Effective interpersonal and leadership skills; experience facilitating communication, group decision making and professional development

●       Effective administrative and management skills

●       Demonstrated skill in speaking, writing and presenting

Work Year:

261 days per year

Compensation:

This is a 12-month, benefits-eligible position. Salary range is $150,000 to $165,000
