Position Title:   Program Manager

Leader Women’s Educational Leadership Network (WELN)

Reports to: Director of Professional Learning, Strategy, and Equity

Purpose:

As part of our 5 YR Strategic Plan, we are seeking a dynamic Program Manager for M.A.S.S. Women’s Leadership Network (WELN) to lead efforts in designing, implementing, and evaluating professional learning initiatives that support district leaders. This position is open to a sitting superintendent or assistant superintendent; or retired superintendent or assistant superintendent. 

Description of the Position

The Program Manager (PM) for the Women’s Educational Leadership Network (WELN) works  in concert with the M.A.S.S. Executive Director and Director of Professional Learning, Strategy, and Equity to identify and monitor the unique needs of our current and aspiring female district leaders to meet the professional development and leadership needs as members of M.A.S.S. 

Qualifications

  • A strong commitment to the Mission and the Core Values of M.A.S.S
  • The ability to lead a team and empower the members of the team to identify the needs of our current and aspiring female leaders
  • Knowledge and/or active attendance at WELN planning meetings and/or events preferred
  • Familiarity and understanding of the key challenges that our women leaders encounter
  • Ability to listen to a variety of perspectives
  • Ability to guide the WELN Planning Team to reach consensus around program planning components
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to work with vendors and members of the hospitality industry to schedule and execute the WELN annual conference.
  • Experience with event planning
  • Proven organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Convene monthly, and as needed, meetings of the WELN Planning Team
  • Post schedule of monthly meetings for the year on agenda
  • Implement and monitor governance structure, annually
  • Prepare the agenda for each meeting and record notes from each meeting
  • Lead the Team in all aspects of the Annual WELN Conference planning
  • Coordinate each aspect of the WELN Annual Event Program and develop communication plan (including working with sponsors, cultivating keynotes and negotiating contracts for keynotes)
  • Review all aspects of the meeting logistics with the Venue Site Manager (including technology needs, food service needs, table set up needs; etc). 
  • Prepare, distribute, and summarize the participant evaluation form for the Conference
  • Coordinate the D’Alessandro Award Process for the Conference per award criteria
  • Attend and lead the WELN conference ensuring annual success

Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Director of Professional Learning, Strategy, and Equity

Compensation:

  • Annual Stipend – $6,000How to Apply
