The Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School Committee is seeking an innovative, forward-thinking, experienced administrator to become Superintendent of our collaborative, committed and high-achieving school district. The successful candidate will be able to inspire in the face of challenge, identify student needs, provide the support to promote success, and be an effective communicator with students, staff, families, and our member communities.

ABOUT THE DISTRICT

Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School, also known as Minuteman High School, is a four-year public, regional career/vocational technical high school in Lexington, Massachusetts, just west of Boston. In addition to offering 19 career technical education (CTE) majors for students in grades 9-12, the district offers workforce development courses for adults through Minuteman Technical Institute (MTI), which operates at the school in the evenings.

Nine towns are members of the district and part of a regional agreement: Acton, Arlington, Bolton, Concord, Dover, Lancaster, Lexington, Needham, and Stow. Minuteman first opened in 1974. Now, after a decade-long effort, a new, state-of-the-art building opened on its 65-acre campus in 2019.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Salary and Contract:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package will be negotiated

Qualifications:

  • Licensed (or license-eligible) in Career/Vocational Technical Educational Superintendency
  • Advanced degree (master’s degree or doctorate in relevant field)
  • Truly visionary leader with entrepreneurial skills
  • Experience in teaching and administration in the field of education, preferably in career/vocational technical
  • Skill in developing and supervising budgeting/financial management and operations
  • Demonstrated leadership skills working with faculty and with teams
  • Experience managing personnel and in collective bargaining
  • Dedication to workforce development, professional training, and continuous
