As we FINALLY begin to see another LONG winter passing, we thought that we would give you a heads-up of better days ahead with warm weather and a sun-filled sky as plans are advancing from our great M.A.S.S. Professional Development Committee who have some great ideas for our Executive Institute 2018. On Wednesday, July 11 is Dan Heath, a former presenter at AASA and listed as one of the most influential management thinkers and on the list of the most creative individuals. On Thursday, July 12, Scott McLeod, a leader in technology, demographics and social economics will be our keynote presenter.
In addition to the excellent presenters, we have several breakout sessions planned. We do encourage you to invite your Aspiring Leaders to attend for the day to participate in the General Session beginning at 9am on both Wednesday and along with the breakouts that will assist them in their work as part of the superintendent and assistant superintendent’s team.
As many comment in their evaluations, ”you cannot miss this Institute” as the general sessions, panels and interaction time have tremendous value. Twenty-four years ago the concept for the “Executive Institute” was established to provide a time for our school leaders to get away from their districts and learn from each other, from top presenters and focused programs. We have kept this goal front and center for over two decades. This will again be a challenging year. Remember, we not only learn from our presenters but from each other.
So take a few minutes to register online and make your room arrangements early. ALSO, as in prior years as stated above, WE INVITE YOUR ASPIRING LEADERS (principals, department heads, etc.) but BE SURE TO INCLUDE THEM IN YOUR ON-LINE REGISTRATION when you click on the link below.
Our PD Committee works hard all year to make this event the success it has become since 1994. As all say in their evaluations, “we would not miss this conference” and “please do not make any major changes.” Our PD Committee lives by these standards.
I hope you take the time to register yourself and a leadership team ONLINE from your district as soon as possible. Let us look forward to the summer.
