As the school year comes to a close, we want to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate the Superintendents who are retiring or have retired over the past year. We are grateful for their service to the students, families, and staff in our school districts, and we wish them many restful and rewarding years in retirement.
We asked the retirees what they will most about serving as Superintendent. Here are some of their responses…
“I will certainly miss the deep connections I’ve made with students and staff across all the schools, witnessing their growth and celebrating their achievements firsthand. The opportunity to shape the vision for the entire district and advocate for the resources needed to give every child the best possible education will also be something I’ll deeply miss.”

“I will miss the joy of watching a student grasp a concept; grow more proficient as a reader, writer, mathematician, scientist; accomplish some physical feat; make a new friend; learn to feel comfortable in their own skin; graduate and pursue their dreams. Public education is amazingly powerful. I feel blessed to have given my professional life to it.”

“What I will miss most about the superintendency is the incredible people – the dedicated staff, inspiring students, supportive families, and especially our amazing leadership team. Serving the Beverly School Community has truly been an honor and a privilege throughout my career.”

“The opportunity to secure teaching resources and unlock learning obstacles for students has provided high motivation throughout the years and will be missed in retirement.”
