🌟 Jason DeFalco, Ed.D. is the 2026 recipient of the M.A.S.S. Dr. Christos Daoulas Award!
Dr. DeFalco is Superintendent of the Marlborough Public Schools. He accepted the award at the M.A.S.S. Paul J. Andrews Executive Institute.
The award is named in memory of Dr. Christos Daoulas, who served as Superintendent of the Dracut Public Schools from 1962 to 2000. M.A.S.S. presents the award annually to a Superintendent for outstanding service to the association and the profession, particularly one who demonstrates skill in communication as a district leader.

Tommy Welch, Ed.D. has been selected as Superintendent of the Salem Public Schools.
Currently a Regional Superintendent in the Boston Public Schools, Dr. Welch will begin his tenure in Salem next month.

Congratulations to Latifah Phillips on being named Permanent Superintendent of the Pittsfield Public Schools!
Latifah has served as the district’s Interim Superintendent since May 2025.
Her previous positions include Chief Equity and Engagement Officer for the Lowell Public Schools, Director of Native Education for the State of Washington's Department of Education, and Assistant Secretary of Indian Education for the New Mexico Public Education Department.
