Assistant Superintendent

Description:

·         The Assistant Superintendent provides vision and leadership for the coordination of resources to support and enhance student learning including programs, policies, operations, and procedures related to school district support services, outside organizations, families, and state and federal agencies.  Provides leadership and supervision of programs and personnel assigned to meet the needs of students.

·         Works collaboratively with personnel, families, community agencies, and businesses to form viable partnerships for the support and development of students.

·         Develop partnerships with workforce development agencies and to enhance student opportunities to career pathways.

Experience:

·         A minimum of a Master’s degree and Department of Elementary and Second Education licensure as Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent.

·         A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in vocational education and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a vocational administrator.

·         Proven leadership ability in vocational school administration, instructional strategies and assessment, grant development, program evaluation and improvement, supervision and evaluation, and educational technology.
